Drafting the “Draft List” !
Here at Izaak’s, we understand the importance of draft beers. The sensation of that first pull off a tall,frosty glass….the perfect end to an epic summer day! So, in choosing the ten drafts, (we wish we had 50 ..), history has a role of course. You’ll always find Guiness and his buddy, Harp’s. Black & Tan anyone?
But then what? How do we choose from so many outstanding candidates? Montana-brewed comes into play early. Our state is quickly building an international reputation for great beer! Consistent availability is discussed. Light or dark?
We choose 15; and then start tasting. Oh yes! Tasting. What sort of a person would I be if I let you drink untested beer!!!? Each brewery is unique as all of you know. Much like a guide’s drift boat or a chef’s restaurant. A reflection of the passion and personality of the artist.
We won’t get into which brewery is what…our Big White Bar Fish, (not to be confused with a Bar Fly), oversees all here at Izaak’s. He has assured me that this year’s Draft List will not disappoint, ten of the world’s finest!
